The Office of Transfer and Articulation Services manages information about how courses from other post secondary institutions are applied toward UB majors and general education requirements. This information is displayed through TAURUS (Transfer Articulation of University Requirements at UB System). The Office also ensures advocacy for transfer issues and the transfer concerns of students, staff, faculty and community at UB and its partner campuses.

Written statements identifying comparable courses are called course articulation. Course articulation information is used by prospective students preparing to transfer to UB as well as UB students who occasionally need to take courses at another institution. Successful completion of an articulated course assures the student and the faculty that the student has taken the appropriate course. Articulated courses have similar outcomes will enable progression to the next level of instruction at UB.
